Bathroom Renovation

What a bathroom renovation involves

A bathroom renovation requires precision. The work happens in a small space with multiple trades working in close sequence: demolition, waterproofing, plumbing, electrical, tile, fixtures, and finish work. Each phase depends on the one before it.

We manage the full sequence under one contract. Our tile setters, plumbers, and electricians have worked together on dozens of projects in the DMV. They know how to coordinate without creating delays.

We work on primary bathrooms, guest bathrooms, and powder rooms. We also handle bathroom additions when a home needs a new bath built from scratch.

Common questions

How long does a primary bathroom renovation take?

A full primary bathroom renovation typically runs 4 to 6 weeks. Smaller guest baths or powder rooms can be completed in 2 to 3 weeks. Timeline depends on scope, tile complexity, and material lead times.

Do you handle the tile design, or do we need a designer?

We can work from a design you bring, or we can walk you through material selections ourselves. For complex tile layouts or high-end finishes, we recommend working with a designer. We can refer you to designers we work with regularly.

Can you match existing tile if we are only renovating part of the bathroom?

Matching existing tile is difficult and often impossible, especially with older materials. We will be honest with you about what is achievable before the project begins.

What is included in waterproofing?

We apply a membrane waterproofing system to all wet areas before tile installation. This is not optional. Skipping or shortcutting waterproofing is the most common cause of bathroom failures we are called in to fix.
